As a polio survivor I learned shame and embarrassment about what I could not physically accomplish. I am amazed that I found the strength and dignity to stand in gym class every day facing the taunts and jeers of my peers. Having had a vision of God when I was 5, somewhere deep inside I felt God's presence and knew the Truth that they could not touch my soul. But ne… Continue

Today is...

July 2nd. What's so special about today? It's National 'I Forgot Day.' No joke. I found this little known fact on www.brownielocks.com. You can print monthly calendars which show special events. So, I'm going to celebrate this day. Instead of saying 'the check is in the mail,' I'll simply say 'I forgot.' If I don't submit that report on time that my boss wants, oh well, 'I forgot.' For wives...if hubby's shirts aren't ironed or socks not matched, smile and tell him 'I forgot.' Let's see -… Continue

Happiness is...

Do you remember that song from You're a Good Man Charlie Brown - "Happiness is..." - it speaks to all the simple pleasures in life and the final lines to the song are: "FOR HAPPINESS IS ANYONE AND ANYTHING AT ALL THAT'S LOVED BY YOU." I will confess that after running the Boston Marathon, I had expectations that I would go on to be competing in road races, beating my personal records, getting up early to attend breakfast meetings... I had the expectation that I had beaten post polio syndrome as… Continue

Why Women and Men Dont Understand Each other

Why Men and Women don’t understand Each other

When it comes to communication between men and women we have certain differences in communication styles. For example if a woman ask a man a question like ” What do you want for dinner Chinese food or Pizza” and he just answers “pizza”. Later that night the woman might be upset at the guy because he didn’t discuss with her if she wanted pizza or Chinese.

When men ask questions they want answers
When women ask questions they want to start or continu… Continue
