When I first saw the story about Heidi and Baby Daryn, I was all mushy. Of course - it's a very mushy story. I too have a friend who has had trouble with conceiving, so I could relate. But when I saw it on the front page again, I had to post.

My friend has some pretty major health issues that hinder her ability to have a baby - and she reeeeeally wants a baby. I had a dream about 6 months ago that absolutely convinced that she'd have a child, and that somehow, I would be involved.

You see, in my dream, she sat at the edge of a river, and a snake (my totem) came up to her and gave her an egg. I assumed that meant that, like Daryn, I'd need to keep the faith for her while she was unable to believe for herself. And so, every night, I have this little ritual I do with her and her future child in mind. And I've shared none of this with her, because that's what felt right to me.

Well, it seems my involvement *might* be a little more than that... She recently sort of half-jokingly and in-passing mentioned that she should ask me to be her surrogate. I think she figured it was such a crazy idea that I'd laugh it off. I think she was more than a little shocked when I told her that I'd definitely entertain the idea. Having had my tubes tied might make it a little more complicated, and I might have to ease my husband into the idea (LOL!) but I would gladly do it for her...

We'll see what the future holds :)

Whoa! Suddenly buying a pair of baby tennies and flying across the country seems like small potatoes!
You are incredible!

no, it wasn't the shoes that was your gift Daryn, it was the faith - and honestly, faith is a rough one for me... but having babies... that's old hat!
