How do you wrap up an amazing 2-week visit to Kenya? How do you say, "Goodbye," to an amazing group of girls who have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS? Leave it to the girls to know what to do--sending me off with a wonderful dinner, song, and gifts. What did I leave them? A big ol'blubbering mess of tears. But as I assured the girls, they were happy tears.

It was a tear-jerker, Daryn. Those little girls have voices like angels! You surely must have felt very loved. These are the real blessings in life. Hope we all get a new revelation of what's important.
What a bittersweet moment. It's always hard to leave when you've had such a good time, and bonded closely with new friends. The girls gave you a beautiful farewell. Thank you for sharing this very personal last part of your journey with us.

Erin, 2009 made me grow up. I had to seek me last year and then correct some of the things. But I know that I took a step forward even though life tried to keep me back.
