This morning I received Guideposts magazine in the mail and discovered Something Better. I immediately went to check out your website. Wow! I am home. I belong here. My Space and Twitter just didn't do it for me and now I know why. I hadn't discovered DarynKagan.com. This is a community I can relate to. I have a friend story too. A year ago this month I lost my beautiful mom and as the oldest sibling I had to put aside my grief to deal with the "business" of death. There was so much to do and I was overwhelmed. My friend, Patty, who is a fantastic cook, spent an entire day and into the night making fried chicken. When I returned from the funeral home working on arrangements, I opened the refrigerator and it was completely filled with fried chicken. We had all been grieving and unable to eat, but this chicken was truly Heaven-sent and it sustained us throughout the week. Do you know someone who is depressed, laid off, sick, grieving...bring them food and you will be a true friend and a messenger from Heaven.
Our large family does not exchange gifts on Christmas...we have decided it is more important and more fun to give to others less fortunate and make memories. On Christmas Eve one year each of us brought a wrapped game we loved as children. 3 clues w…
