I have pretty wild story over on the website today. A British banker has moved to a deserted island just to quit smoking. It has me wondering--how far have you gone or would you go to reach your big goal or make your dream come true. Please share!
I went from Hopkinton to Boston 26.2 miles on my piggy toes to bring awareness to polio and post polio syndrome, and to raise $10,535 for Spaulding Rehab Hospital where remarkable recoveries like mine happen every day. I trained through one of the most grueling New England winters on record and never missed a training session/long run in 15 months of training. I harnessed all of my physical, mental and spiritual prowess to reach my goal of crossing the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
That is totally awesome. I have a lot of admiration for you at sticking it out and actually being in the Boston Marathon and for a great cause. You rock girl!
Erin, 2009 made me grow up. I had to seek me last year and then correct some of the things. But I know that I took a step forward even though life tried to keep me back.
I am not MAD at 2009!
Every year ends in a mixture of emotions for those reflecting upon it. 2009 seems to be one of those years. I have heard people emphatically say “goodbye to 2009”. The year has brought to some great joy and to other great pain…
