Great story. My siblings and I were trying desparately to get my Dad well enough to take him to see the memorial as he was a veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Sadly, he passed away this past April. I am so happy to see these veterans getting the chance to see this; truly a remarkable tribute to them!
I agree, I was very touched by this story, in conjunction with a special I watched about Iwo Jima the other night. It makes me wish I had the money to donate to help. The lady in the video was so right, time is running out, and every one of those vets (as well as all others) deserve to feel that sense of accomplishment and appreciation that was shown to the vets in this video.
