Oops! I made a Boo-boo! here is the end of the story. (please forgive me.)

The council sent out a mass e-mail to the public to ask them to please save water. Within a day 31% less water was used. Is it no amazing how much one can save if we try? There aim is to save 50% of water. It is possible if we all work together.

The year is well advanced and I am way behind on this site. Never to fear I am back now and feel I must share the following story from my sister, Maureen, with you. Hopefully it will make us all aware of how precious water is and all be encouraged to save water wherever and whenever we can.

A bit of background before explanations! My younger sister, some years back, chose to leave city life behind and move back to basic living on a undeveloped plot in the country. Now country in South Africa is not smooth rolling grassy hills and gently flowing streams. It is bush and I mean Bush. Enough to say they had to hack down brush, bush etc to clear a space to reach a spot on the property to put up her wooden house, (Wendy House style) so as to keep in with natural environment.
