Fred founded Empowered & Fit in 2006 to offer a nurturing space and a source of healing for people suffering from physical or emotional pain or stress. As a certified massage therapist and Reiki master, he discovered that through the sensitive fusion of techniques, including various types of massage, Reiki, and Qi-gong, he could provide not only physical relief to his clients but also emotional and spiritual peace and calm as well. His success is derived from a deeply intuitive connection with clients, as well rigorous training in wide areas of holistic healing. His massage meets clients where they are and provides exactly what their bodies need.
Fred is a nationally certified massage therapist and a graduate of AKS Massage School in Herndon. He has additional training in Thai Yoga Massage, Lomi Lomi, Tui-Na, Tibetan Massage, Qi-Gong, and sports massage. He is a Reiki Master and a Reiki Master Teacher. Fred holds a Master’s degree in Education from Chapman University and a BA from University of Maryland. He is an active member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
