Each week I drive 2 hours to visit my sister and her family. The trip coincides with a customer I have in the area. Three weeks ago, on the drive, I listened to Hearing Voices and their selection of stories called "Happy Families".

As a child I never imagined my life as it is now. I’m 36. When my mom was 36, she had two daughters, 11 and 8 years old, and was raising them on her own. I remember as I was a precocious 16 year old driving the car saying to her, “I remember when I didn’t drive.” Mom said, “Oh yeah? I remember when you didn’t exist.” I never fully understood the magnitude of life, the power of love and that statement until 2 years ago.
