Daryn; Its not a topic one thinks about in the open very often. Tabloidy, no I don't think so, but it appears we have created a new buzzword!
Tabloids make up stories, this is a rhetorical question that just seems to be a moral Taboo in our society.…
After the 26 month election and all the negativity surrounding it I need to be reminded how good folks are still out there.
Breathe in, Breathe out, move on...
That's truly sad about the man with cancer who had to give up his dog. That's the worst possible time to have to give up a pet. Pets have an amazing way of helping people through illnesses, providing comfort and company. It's great to hear that you help out with the pug rescue, though. Anything we can do to help make the world a better, brighter place is a good thing.
Yes, Daryn is a very inspiring person. She knows how to get enjoyment out of life and maximise every moment of it. She's one of my heroes!
Life in the U.S.A. is going quite well for me. It's not culturally shocking the way it would be if I had to move to Europe or Asia, or something like that. Americans and Canadians are similar in many ways. There are some differences, but they are more abstract types of things like how we view our identity, national pride, and sensitivities. The thing that scares me most in this country is the healthcare system. There doesn't seem to be any transparency, and it's so easy for a person to get wiped out financially, as it's so expensive. But, overall I really like it here. My husband and I are happily married and that helps.
thanks for the friends add. Have you been following Daryn Kagan for long? I used to watch her back during the CNN days, and am so excited about her project...darynkagan.com. This social community is a great addition.
No, they were taken by a friend and coleague of mine who lives in South Africa. She is part of Operation Teddy Bear Care (teddybearcare.org) and I work with her and several others to help provide things for the orphans in the pictures, and many more like them. Beautiful little faces aren't they- hard to grasp that those beautiful little children are so poor, parentless, no families, nothing....
