Since it is (or just was ) Thanksgiving, it's an appropriate time to say thanks to someone. Of course, like many who have posted here, there's more than one person in life to be thankful for. I'm going to thank 3 people, but fortunately they all h...

Hi Rose, First off, thanks for sending a friend request (which I've gladly accepted). As far as using the video on Greenapolis TV, I would recommend contacting WH by email (there's an email address on their contact us page). I'm sure they would ...

Rose, It's good to see more municipalities finding better ways of dealing with landfill waste. Using methane from decomposing garbage to run trucks transporting the waste seems to make sense but it might be a short term fix for a much bigger prob...

I'd like to tell you what my favourite doughnut is, but if I started thinking and writing about it, chances are, the craving for one would be so strong and I'd end up running out to Timmy's to get one. And you know what they say: you are what you ...

After watching the Ukraine's Got Talent video, I was just thinking that it must be a blast bringing this woman to the beach. Seriously though, I'm totally amazed at her ability to draw realistic images so quickly. Her movements are smooth and eff...

I can't speak from experience on whether animals grieve (not being a pet owner/keeper myself) so perhaps they do, and it wouldn't surprise me if it's so. However, I do believe pets (and other animals) can sense the energy that humans are radiating...

Late Night Day Dreams

It’s getting really late and instead of being smart and going to sleep, I’m writing this post. I’m sure I’ll be sorry in the morning. Anyhow, I was watching CNN tonight and they were airing a special produced by Christianne Armapour about countries that have practiced genocide in recent years. There is no need to go into details, as you can imagine, it was sad and despicable.

I haven’t traveled outside of North America, and probably never will, but after seeing some of the horrors, third world… Continue

The simplest gift may be the hardest to give

One of the nicest things about this time of year is the happy mood that many of us experience. Of course we can’t forget that it can be a difficult time for individuals or families who may be suffering in some way. Maybe we should take a minute or two out of our busy day and think about someone who is in need or we haven’t been in touch with for awhile. A quick phone call or letter might be all it takes to lift the spirit of someone who may be feeling isolated and alone.

It’s true that many bel… Continue

One of the best gifts you can give someone is listening to them

One thing I know I'm not good at, is inspiring people. Another is obviously writing a good lead in sentence. So, with those two things out of the way, you will have to forgive me if this post doesn't sound as uplifting, as I wished. However I will try to keep it as positive as I can, but no refunds or money back guarantees are offered.

On a personal level, I wish it could be easier to help others who need to discuss and find answers to their problems. I know it is difficult many times to find h… Continue

The good news is there's been too much bad news

When Daryn began this site I was happy and also concerned. I was glad that she was doing something that would be beneficial to society by providing a medium for good news and inspiring stories. This is not an easy thing to do these days with the media focus being primarily on negative stories. It seems to me, and likely anyone else with a “news addiction like myself” that whenever the term “news” is heard, it is associated with a bad event taking place. Sadly we have become accustomed to the pre… Continue
