About Me
I am a 55 year old Mom of 6 wonderful kids...4 of them grown, and 2 at home! I have been a runner for quite some time, but age, arthritis and some injuries have made running a little bit of a challenge lately. I just completed the New York City Marathon as a member of Team Hole in the Wall. I made a goal of raising $3,000 for the Hole in the Wall Camp....a wonderful camp for children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The camp was started by Paul Newman.....It is an amazing camp and I find running to be much easier when I think about all that some of these kids have gone through....it's hard to whine about a few aches and pains when you hear some of these kids' stories!

Since it is (or just was ) Thanksgiving, it's an appropriate time to say thanks to someone. Of course, like many who have posted here, there's more than one person in life to be thankful for. I'm going to thank 3 people, but fortunately they all h...

Laura, We had a wonderful (yellow) lab who died in '07 at 13 years; he came to us as a stray, too, after someone dumped him in our neighborhood. He was only about 2 months at the time. He had terrible skin allergies... Later, at 7, he developed d...

Oh yeah, I forgot to give my own answer. My fave Thanksgiving food is Sweet Potato casserole w/ melted marshmallows on top. I could take a bath in that stuff! Yum!

I'm thankful to Delta Airlines for gifting passengers with free wi-fi. First time I'm able to access internet from 35,000 up. Pretty cool. Thanks, Delta!
