- Evangelist Shirlene Davis is a woman who loves God with all her heart and is humbled to be used by God. She is the founder of Holding On Ministries, a global dynamic intercessory prayer ministry meeting the needs of a hurting people in this day and age. Evangelist Davis is on call 24 hours a day to pray with individuals that call the ministry line. Her pulpit also extends to the various conferences she participates in where she allows the Holy Spirit to use her in delivering a “Rhema” word” for the wounded and weary.
Shirlene Davis has a passion to see souls saved, healed, delivered and restored. This desire was birthed when God miraculously healed and delivered her from sickness. As a result, of this complete healing she decided to rededicate and redirect her focus to the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and his healing ministry. Evangelist Davis has tapped into the healing promises of God through her anointed prayers set to music. Her latest project “A Healing Prayer” is being played all over the world on Christian and Gospel radio stations that recognize the need for prayer for their captive audience.
Evangelist Davis also oversees Holding On Ministries Radio Ministry. Holding On Ministries radio ministry is a blessing to the Body of Christ around the world. Her popular weekly radio broadcast offers a Word of encouragement and hope through Christ Jesus. Her life is a sincere testament of the healing and restorative power of God. Shirlene Davis always strives for excellence, submits to the move of God and His power. She is truly a servant of God. Her love for God Almighty and His people are evident in her life.
Holding On Ministries broadcast can be heard across Birmingham, Alabama and the World Wide Web every Friday at 1:00PM on WAYE 1220 a.m.
Today, she gives insight to accepting adversity as a gift from God and implements it into ministry. The mission of Holding On Ministries is to change lives, strengthen families, and fulfill destinies by teaching the Word of God in a realistic approach that people can apply to their daily lives.
In 2005, she became the founder and president of The Mattie Holden Young Scholarship, a non-profit, organization created to provide financial assistant to high school students from low-income families. She and her brother are active contributor to this purpose and lives have been changed as a result of their obedience and passion. Evangelist Davis believes there are no limits to ones potential!
